An Emotional end to an Extraordinary Career!

Sachin Tendulkar is one of the finest examples of sportsmen I have ever seen, with love for the sport, humility, integrity, honesty and pure unbridled talent. His sterling performance across all formats of the game, from Tests, ODIs and T20 over 24 years, is a rare feat of exemplary elegance, earnest application and commitment.

He was an exceptional cricketer who earned the utmost respect of his peers, team mates, opponents and fans all over the world through his talent, performances and fierce competitiveness.
His 664 internationals, 34,357 runs and 100 centuries over 24 years not only illustrate his determination and commitment to the game but also his mental and physical toughness which are the vital ingredients to reach the highest pedestal in any sport.

Sachin always put his team ahead of himself during his illustrious career but he picked up a number of personal accolades which highlights his brilliance.

Two first half penalties from Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas and second half strikes from Alexis Sanchez and Pedro Rodriguez led the Blaugrana to victory.

In the Premier League, Chelsea moved to 3rd place with an easy 3-0 win against West Ham. Lampard scored twice and a brace from Oscar secured 3 points for Mourinho's blues. In the other fixtures Arsenal breached Southampton's defense twice to go four points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern showed Dortmund why they're one of the most threatening teams in the world. Mario Gotze, Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller scored for Bayern in the 3-0 win.

What a cracker of a Merseyside derby!

Everton and Liverpool played out a thrilling merseyside derby with the score 3-3. Phillipe Coutinho opened the scoring for Liverpool which was immediately cancelled out by Kevin Mirallas. Then the League's leading scorer Luis Suarez struck a peach of a free kick to give the Reds a slender lead. However, Everton had other ideas. In the second half, Romelu Lukaku scored the equalizer and then a header to put the Toffees in front.

Daniel Strurridge came on as a substitute and scored the third goal for Liverpool which resulted in an entertaining draw. The result moves Everton up to 5th position but still 4 points behind League leaders Arsenal while Liverpool move up to touching distance just 1 point behind Arsenal, who face Southampton in the Emirates stadium.
